FAQ

When does the season start and finish?
Sign on is from the first Saturday after the State Schools go back. Online sign on is offered till mid March or until age groups are closed off due to capacity.
Senior Men/Women/Youth fixtures start February/March 2018.
Junior Fixtures start in April 2018.
The Over 35 season runs from April to October.

Where and when are games held?
U6-U7s play in-house at Moggill every Saturday morning at either 8am or 9am.

U8-U11 play home and away fixtures excluding school holidays and on Saturday mornings. U8-U11s play in a Western hub which means away games are held at other local clubs ie. Kenmore, Colleges, Ipswich & Centenary. From U12 through to Seniors our teams may need to travel a little further afield depending on which other clubs have nominated teams in the same division.

U12s play on Saturdays, with most games being played by 3pm. U13-U18s play mainly on Sundays, with most games being played by 3pm (BJL and Div 1 may vary as per Seniors below).

Seniors can play at any time over the weekend dependant upon when we and our opposition clubs have nominated to play. Over 35s will mainly play on Friday nights.

How much does it cost?

The fees for the 2018 season are as follows:
MiniRoos U6-U7 $305
MiniRoos U8-U11 $340

** MFC offers a family discount of $100 for the 3rd and subsequent players (this does not include the Squirts program)

What does that include (any ongoing costs)?
MFC have a one-off fee that includes all game and referee fees, insurance (excluding Over 35s), Football Brisbane/Football Queensland registration, a training ball, player jersey to keep, ground maintenance and line marking and membership to the Bellbowrie Sports Club. The only additional costs to players are boots, socks and shin pads.

Where and when do we train?
All training is held at Moggill. As a general rule of thumb U6-U11 teams train one night a week for an hour. Higher age groups train twice a week for an hour and a half. Teams will nominate a time which suits them and the club will try to accomodate. All junior teams have use of the fields until 7pm on training nights, thereafter Senior teams utilise the fields.

Grading Policy
All players from U9-U11 will be "soft graded" into like skilled teams. A certain amount of leeway can be exercised to facilitate player requests (player numbers dictate cut off).
All players U12 on will be graded individually into Divisional age teams. All gradings are carried out in accordance with the
Grading Policy.

Where can I buy socks, boots and shinpads?
You can purchase other uniform items/boots from places such as Kenmore 1st Sports Store, Rebel Sports etc.
